A major focus of MPRC activities is to ensure that policy makers in government, in media practise and other sector stakeholders appreciate the monumental role of media in society and have the tools they need to make the decisions they must. Learning and the exchange of ideas are therefore critical to achieving the goals of MPRC. MPRC convenes relevant stakeholders to enable them keep abreast with changes and developments in the sector, to gain knowledge that supports media practice and to update skills.
Integrating research with publications, media labs, dialogue and public discourse as well as training of media professionals, MPRC works towards creating public understanding and appreciation of the importance of the media in decision making.
